Protection pathways

Projects

Home / Projects

These projects are composite pathways drawn from the kinds of enquiries ReachArrive handles. They are not advertisements of a guaranteed saving and not a promise that your file will look the same. They show how we structure the questions: what must continue, what the wording excludes, and which number belongs in the schedule.

If your situation rhymes with one of them, start with the contact form and mention the pathway. We will still ask for your own facts. A good project is specific. A copied sum insured is how gaps begin.

A family relaxing at home
Household

Family income shield

A household of four wanted life cover that would clear a home loan and leave three years of living costs. We separated the loan figure from living costs, removed a workplace benefit they had double counted, and showed a term that matched the youngest child’s schooling rather than a round number. The illustration named a serious-illness option they declined because the premium would have crowded out health cover they valued more. The written note let both adults see the same gap.

Rebuild pathway

Owners of a two-storey home had insured the price they hoped to sell for. We walked through rebuild cost instead: structure, fittings, debris removal, and professional fees. Contents were listed room by room, and a jewellery inner limit was raised with a specified item rather than a vague hope. The schedule conversation also caught a studio used twice a week for paid lessons, which a standard wording would have treated as undeclared business use.

Tools and a vehicle in a workshop
Motor

Workshop fleet notes

A repair workshop used three vehicles: two for parts runs and one taken home by a senior technician. A single social-use assumption would have been wrong. We split the uses, named the regular drivers, and set an excess the business could pay without stopping wages. The claim checklist covered photographs, other-party details, and the rule about not offering to settle fault at the roadside.

A calm clinic waiting area
Health

Clinic group health plan

A small clinic wanted health cover for employed practitioners and a separate liability conversation for the advice they give. We kept those contracts apart so a medical bill and a professional mistake were not forced into one confused wording. Waiting periods were compared against treatment two staff members had already booked. The plan that looked cheapest failed that test, and the clinic chose the structure that would actually respond.

A person travelling with a pack
Travel

Travel circle cover

A group of friends booked a three-week trip with one shared itinerary and three different health histories. We refused a one-size certificate. Each traveller disclosed what the insurer asked, activities were checked against the sports list, and the policy was timed to the deposit rather than to the departure gate. Cancellation cover then had a chance to mean something if an insured reason appeared before the flight.

Income

Later-life income plan

Two self-employed designers wanted income protection that understood project work rather than a fixed salary. We used an average of recent earnings, set a waiting period that matched their emergency fund, and highlighted an own-occupation definition they were willing to pay for. The email summary included the documents an insurer would want if a claim ever started: medical notes, evidence of earnings, and the date work stopped.
